The more things change, the more they stay the same.

As the defending champion Golden State Warriors face the Cleveland Cavaliers for a record fourth straight NBA Finals, basketball fans seem to know everything there is to know about these two teams. Or do they really?

How did LeBron James’ 2016 NBA Finals MVP run stack statistically against Kevin Durant’s 2017 NBA Finals MVP performance? Did Steph Curry score more points in the Warriors’ wins compared with their losses? Was the Oracle Arena advantage backed up by statistics illustrating that the Warriors played better at home?

These are some of the questions one can answer by using this interactive visualization prepared by the ABS-CBN Data Analytics Team!

Using the checkboxes on the left side of the visualization, one can take a deep dive into the numbers, mixing and matching different categories. It is possible to check more than one category on the list. One can also hover the mouse pointer over the bar graphs.

Checking the “CLEVELAND CAVALIERS” or the “GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS” will restore the visualization to its default view.
