If there’s playoff basketball being broadcasted on ESPN this postseason, there’s a very good chance that NBA twitter will be busy roasting Paul Pierce for something he said during the pregame or postgame show.

After the Boston Celtics won Game 1 of their Eastern Conference Semifinals series against the Milwaukee Bucks on the road, Pierce confidently proclaimed that the Celtics would “out-talent” Milwaukee for the rest of the series.

“I don’t know where Milwaukee goes from here.”

The Bucks, of course, went on to blow out the Celtics in Game 2, and won four consecutive games to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.

Pierce was mocked by the Milwaukee Bucks on the team’s scoreboard after the team closed out their series, and fans put up missing posters around the Bucks’ arena.

On Friday night before Game 6 of the Rockets-Warriors series, Pierce predicted that James Harden and the Rockets would blow out the defending champions, who were forced to play without Kevin Durant.

“They win in blowout fashion. Blowout. 15 plus.”

The Rockets were favored by seven points at home, but Steph Curry and Klay Thompson combined for 60 points, and the Rockets collapsed in the fourth quarter.
