No matter what happens in this NBA Finals series — literally no matter what — LeBron James is going to keep getting his. And getting it and getting it and getting it. After going off for 51 points, eight boards, and eight assists in Game 1, King James is well on his way to a triple-double in just three quarters tonight in Game 2. And along the way, he’s reached yet another outrageous milestone. He’s now surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for No. 2 on the all-time NBA Finals scoring charts.
LeBron James now No. 2 on the #NBAFinals all-time scoring list with 1,318 points. He just passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and is behind Jerry West (1,679 Finals points).

LBJ now trails only Mr. Clutch himself, Jerry West. And you can bet that it won’t be too long before he’s all alone at No. 1.
That’s just what LeBron does.
Bron has a complete mastery of the sport. Uses only as much energy as necessary in dissecting these secondary transition chances.

The odds were always stacked against the Cavaliers in this series, what with the Warriors being the single most talented NBA roster ever assembled. But what we’re continuing to witness from LeBron is absolutely dazzling.
And he ain’t slowing down.
