The Philadelphia 76ers have used three players this season in Delaware. The G-League has been a springboard for many players in the NBA. What do the three Blue Coats/Sixers have to gain in 2019?
Ever since Robert Covington went from (then) D-League no-name to First Team All-Defense, Philadelphia 76ers fans have been keeping a close eye on the Delaware Blue Coats. The Sixers have had three players appear in the NBA and G-League this season. Demetrius Jackson and Shake Milton on two-way deals, and Jonah Bolden for additional experience. It’s nice to see Jonah Bolden join Furkan Korkmaz and Timothe Luwawu-Cabbarrot, as full time Sixers racking up miles on their car between Wilmington and Philly.
All three players deserved time with the Blue Coats to work on their game. Shake Milton and Jonah Bolden are young players, that need as much experience as possible. Both could end up as key bench players for the Sixers, while Demetrius Jackson’s time with the organization may need to be reevaluated.
What did we learn about the trio in 2018 and what can we expect in the next calendar year?
